Innovation

Our unique three piece body, as used on the McLaren M8f, is an exciting innovation in RC car body design. The body construction offers some awesome advantages:

  • Handling - trim the side fins as high as you like to achieve better stability on slower tracks.
  • Strength - the sides of the body are the same thickness as at the top - there is no thinning like in standard bodies and the shape in the sides makes them really stiff.
  • Speed - The seperate wing which attaches to the fins provides excellent downforce, but much less drag than the large 'air damn' on commonly available bodies.
  • Looks - unmatched scale accuracy because all of the side undercuts can be replicated exactly as they should be.

The bodies are a sinch to trim and paint as well, just take some time and follow these steps and the finished product will be something to be proud of.

  1. Trim the body centre section keeping the side fins as large as possible
  2. Trim the body sides, but leave plenty of extra material around the top edges
  3. Temporarily assemble the sides to the centre with tape
  4. Mount the body onto your chassis and cut all mounting and engine holes
  5. With the sides in the correct position, mark and trim the final side fin shape
  6. Paint all of the pieces seperately (paint inside!)
  7. Permanently assemble by applying the supplied 3M super strength double sided tape to the fin on the centre section and then placing the sides into position
  8. Fit wing and apply decals to finish

And the most important rule of all... take your time and enjoy it!
